HISTORY CLARIJS 

Sailmaker Clarijs is a traditional family business. It was founded by the brothers Clarijs in 1948 and started as a saddlery. When the demand for leather products declined, Clarijs gradually started to focus more on the manufacturing of sail canvas, tarpaulin, and other related products. Over time, the company was passed on to the sons and later their  grandchildren, and in recent years grew to become a manufacturer for bike bags and cargo bike covers. 

We are proud to say that Clarijs products are currently being sold in more than 12 countries now, including USA and Canada.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY & SUSTAINABILITY

All our products are manufactured in The Netherlands and all the materials we use are produced in the EU. All products are made by hand and 90 % of the products we make are made by people who work in a sheltered workshop!
In recent years we have started to sell more and more (cycle)bags made out of reCYCLEd truck-covers and other used materials.
